The Child & Adolescent Health Research Unit (CAHRU) wishes to appoint
a Research Communications Officer who will work as part of a team at
the International Coordinating Centre (ICC) for the Health Behaviour
in School-aged Children World Health Organisation collaborative
cross-national study (HBSC).

This is a new position within the ICC designed to develop capacity
within the centre and the study network as a whole, and to respond to
the increasing interest in the study at a policy level. It is an
exciting and challenging opportunity for a communications professional
to work within a dynamic international field. Applicants should have a
postgraduate qualification in a relevant area and previous experience
within a research environment.

The post holder will be responsible for developing and implementing
research communication and dissemination strategies on behalf of the
International Coordinating Centre, developing external contacts,
managing and organising a wide range of information resources, and
monitoring and developing the external profile of HBSC. The role will
focus primarily on external communications at an international level:
with study partners, policy makers, NGOs, academic researchers and
other relevant agencies and organisations in the field of adolescent
health.

The post is full-time and is available until 30 September 2012.

Salary Scale: £29,704 - £35,469
