Can a similar approch be used if you're getting this error while running
TBSS_non_FA? I am trying (failing) to get the all_MD_skeletonized with this
error:
projecting all_MD onto mean FA skeleton

${ FSLDIR}/bin/tbss_skeleton -i mean_FA -p $thresh

Splitting the all_FA and all_MD files is an appealing solution, but would it
work?
