Dear Friends of Wisdom,
Seven Friends of Wisdom said they would attend a FoW Conference in London on the 18th and 19th June. This is not enough people for me to go ahead with organizing the Conference. I have cancelled the rooms I provisionally booked at UCL.
I propose, however, to set about organizing a big international FoW Conference in June 2010 at UCL, London. I will see whether UCL, which proclaims itself to be London's Global University, is willing to sponsor and support the Conference. I will see whether grants can be obtained from elsewhere. And I will do what I can to get hold of some good keynote speakers.
In the meantime, I do not see why those of us who live in and around London should not hold another half-day, local mini conference sometime in the new year.
We might also try to hold a Skype Conference - or several such Conferences if the first one is a success. Perhaps the first one might devote itself to the question: "What should Friends of Wisdom do to get its message across?".
