chicago, on the raod to indianapolis, which would put it in NW indiana .

here's the dialogue from that part of the film:

THORNHILL:   Prairie Stop, Highway    . Good.:                 

 

 EVE:  It's about an hour-and-a-half's drive from Chicago.

                   

but that of course has nothing to do with where it was filmed
