Hello
Our Homelessness section have recently had a complaint from a Landlord that they have put a tenant into for not telling them that this tenant is an ex drug user. This is the first time that any Landlord has queried with us what we have not told them about the tenant.
From this, they would like to produce a disclosure of information guidance booklet for all staff in the section so that they are aware what information they can pass on to potential/ actual Landlords of tenants.
Under DPA how much information if any, can be passed onto potential Landlords about tenants (including their current situation and past activities)?
Does any other authority have a procedure or guidance already produced on this?
Thank you
