We use academic year, course id, then the year or group i.e.
0809-X123-01 or 0809-X123-G(group)001 (01 is the year if part of a
multiyear course), the course name then gives a clearer title as to
department etc

Hi Gary,

we use module/course code, which has a year code included in it e.g.

80144.Y1.00.08
Course code = 80144
Y1 = One Year Course (or first Year of a 2/3 year course)
00 = used to identify sub-course sites of main course site
08 = Academic year the course starts in

regards

Hello, I'm interested in learning what naming conventons are used for
coursesite (specifically the course id) at other institutions.

We currently combine module code and start / end dates but this can
become complex to interpret so I'm looking at other options.

If there's demand I could present the findings e.g. at Durham perhaps?
