I’ve just started to look
in to SafeAssign and I’m also having problems with files around 4MB and
over, they just don’t want to submit.
The wiki does say that papers
with over 5000 sentences won’t submit so I might have to take a look at
my test files.

We have been using it for about 6 months so there is not sufficient
trust yet to commit completely to it, although we have not had any problems. I
do remember some proxy settings errors when it was first installed. No problems
with file sizes.
I have written a step by step guide in Wimba Create for our
teaching staff. It is mostly generic, doesn’t mention the institution
more than two or three times and you are welcome to a copy –. Contact me
off line at [log in to unmask] if you
would like to see it.

Subject: SafeAssign and Blackboard
Hi everyone,
A quick check revealed that this has not been asked
(recently). I am hoping to get an idea of what others are doing re SafeAssign
We started using SafeAssign on Blackboard this year, and
it’s proving quite popular. We found out that the browser settings
that have recently been updated in our labs (all cashe options unchecked in IE,
no proxy in Firefox) produce a number of errors when we try to submit .
We also have an issue with large files (anything above 2MB
seems to not want to submit).
I was wondering if others have had similar experiences and
if any guidelines have been established? (particularly re file sizes). I have
got some brief (and I do mean brief) notes on SafeAssign which I am willing to
share with others, and would welcome anything we could add to them.
Thanks muchly
Lia
