Keren

This doesn’t look familiar to me – both ECS & telecare probably pre-date it.  Don’t forget that the ecs agreement is now with Supplychain.  I can give you contact names if its useful.

I found a terms and conditions for supply and installation of equipment and its pretty comprehensive:  http://www.pasa.nhs.uk/PASAWeb/Guidance/Termsandconditionsofcontract/Maintermsandconditionsofcontract.htm

Does anyone know if this is the basis for the agreements for telecare and telehealth / environmental controls sub-contracts for installation? If so is there anything added or amended to take into account working in people’s homes (presume individuals at home are termed ‘beneficiaries’ in the Pasa agreement. Is there anything about sign off by the individual at home or are complaints about inadequate installation practice passed back to the telecare services? I’ll see if I can get the TSA to send me the relevant bits in their code of practice.

Sorry, trying to get my head around what’s required in relation to workforce development and to confirm anecdotal evidence of problems with current practice which seems to be restricting who can do this work but with little clarity on what is required in terms of competence.

Cheers. Keren

Hello all,

I was wondering if regional EC services had specifications for installers to comply with (even if these services are contracted out)? We are looking to put together some guidance on installation for telecare/ telehealth to fit within workforce development activity so any appropriate guidance or advice would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Aidan.
