Vikki I agree that both proposals sound sensible. The general view from the Forum was that this would be welcomed and I wanted to canvas further within the community to see whether this was a generally held view. Additionally, it has become clear recently that the lack of a national recognised 'Planners Group' means that there are occasions (e.g. when HESA is reviewing its returns) when Planning does not have a voice around the table. Clearly this is not only an issue in respect of the student returns but also in terms of having someone involved who understands the interplay between the different returns and the potential impacts on league tables etc. The view at Planning Forum was that it would be useful to develop such a group. I would be grateful for any comments people have, either to me directly or back to the list. Best wishes, Vikki ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Vikki Goddard Director of Planning The University of Liverpool Email: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> Tel: +44 151 795 2129
