Future TV
Future TV is a web 2.0
TV Channel, a model stemming from applications such as YouTube, MySpace and
mobile media. Young people will be involved in all aspects of running the
channel, including taking part in decision making and creative direction. The
channel will cover local events and issues, and celebrate

Who is it for?
16 - 25 year olds who are not currently in employment,
education or training.
What will they get?
Flexible learning opportunities, based around their
interests and the variety of roles needed to run a Future TV Channel.
Hard skills can be chosen from a menu including: music
technology, production, mobile broadcast, administration, marketing,
programming, online camerawork/broadcast and edit skills, creative direction,
art direction.
Soft skills will include confidence development,
motivation and interpersonal skills. These skills will be taught by Future TV
production staff and industrial specialists, coming from, for example,
Advertising, Filmmaking, Music Publishing, New Technology Agencies

Accreditation
Young people will get the opportunity to enter for Arts
Award Bronze (Level 1) qualifications. SPACE is an accredited Arts Award
Centre.
Support costs
Transport will be paid, food will be provided and child
care costs met.
