Program Manager for the Therapeutic Community in the new ACT Prison:  The Alcohol and Drug Foundation Australian Capital Territory (ADFACT) is seeking applications to fill a new position of Program Manager for the Therapeutic Community in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) prisonthe Alexander Maconochie Centre.

 

The Program Manager will establish and manage the Therapeutic Community, including a multi-disciplinary staff team of both ADFACT clinical staff and Custodial Officers, in collaboration with ACT Corrective Services and other ADFACT programs such as

The Karralika Therapeutic  Community ,The Nexus Program (incorporating the Men’s Halfway House Program and After-care Program), the Relapse Prevention Program, the Phoenix Project (MERIT case management & education), the Personal Support Program, and the Sober Driver Program. 

 

Responsibilities will include programing, clinical oversight, and staff management. The facility will be a full-time residential treatment unit initially with 20 beds. The overall goal is to create an environment that encourages residents to reassess their lives and acquire new skills and interests, leading to a reduction in substance misuse and recidivism. 

 

A salary package of $107 860 pa is offered, comprising a base salary of $80 000 and PBI fringe benefits-free threshold.
