Dear All (and usual apologies for cross posting):

The Sexuality and Space specialty group of the AAG is pleased to extend an invitation to sponsor sessions at the 2009 AAG meeting in Las Vegas.  Briefly, the objectives of the specialty group is to:

1.  To encourage geographic research and scholarship on topics related to sexuality.

2.  To promote educational ways for communicating geographic perspectives on sexuality
that will inform both curricular and pedagogical needs.

3.  To promote interest in geography on issues related to sexuality.

4.  To promote the exchange of ideas and information about intersections of geography and sexuality.

We are keen on sponsoring  papers/sessions focusing on both heteronormative and nonheteronormative spaces/subjects, those that draw on sexuality as a primary analytic in their work, as well as those that employ queer theory as part of their analysis.

To have your session included in the list of Sexuality and Space sponsored sessions please email the session abstract and a list of the presenters and their respective titles to [log in to unmask].

Regards

Matt Sothern, on behalf of Sexuality and Space.
