Dear SPM'ers,

I was brought the following PET design, 1 FDG scan per condition, 2 groups, 2 conditions. The researchers want to do a group x condition comparison. The following is the design matrix used:

SPM5 errors out during the ReML estimation of covariance components. The error is as follows.

I stepped through the code and it appears the design matrix size changes during the orthogonalization of the matrix in the spm_reml.m preventing the matrix multiplication. Anyone know what this in fact means from an SPM perspective? What do I need to do in order to "fix" this design? I've tried different numbers of subjects but to no avail.

Thanks!
