I am seeking guidance on how long local authorities should be keeping copies of Freedom of Information requests and their answers. I believe that for monitoring purposes and the investigation of complaints, this should be at least 12 months (both paper and electronic). What do other people think - is there a standard time recommended by the Records Management Societyr of GB?
