	Dear All,
Two additional new posts have been created within the Gatsby Science
Enhancement Programme (SEP) to work across three Government Office
Regions of England to develop a programme of professional development
for teachers engaged with SEP. The two posts can potentially be on a
full-time or part-time basis.
Building on existing training which takes place in the Science
Learning Centres and links with 10,000 SEP Associates, the
Professional Development Leads will build capacity for continuing
professional development within the regions.
The people appointed will have a science teaching background, with
additional experience in professional development of teachers,
project management and curriculum development. Some experience of
producing good quality resources for training and/or classroom use
will be necessary. Successful applicants ideally will have had some
contact with the Learning Skills for Science (LSS) project already,
and, if not already trained, be prepared to train to ‘level 3’ as
an LSS trainer.
For more details please go to http://www.sep.org.uk/jobs/index.asp
[1] where you can also download and view the full job description.
The closing date for receipt of applications is 31 OCTOBER 2008.
	Kind regards,
	Dee Halil
