Went from R to PG, hopefully not bland or dessicated.

AND SHE WENT HOME WITH ME AT LAST

an inept liar promising that nothing had to happen
because she'd fought off the (so I said) inevitable Us,
and for angry weeks and I'd grown tired of my sticky underwear
and the pathetic relief of the office men's room
from another arrested lunchtime roll in the local park.
Betty I don't care a damn about your fiance
I care a real lot about fucking you!
and got her to shiver when I talked dirty to her,
so when at last she went home with me
of course what would happen was not
up for doubt or waiting,
"I can't get no satisfaction" on the box
in the background, but like hell we couldn't,
only the fabulous is what we got
Jong ziplessness with names but no strings,
and it was everything it should have been
and I, idiot, have been chasing that moment ever since
forty years ago when nobody owed the other,
no obligation, no expectations, a dreamworld and
you could still smoke in bed afterwards.
