These were simple examples. I have them for a limited purpose: to show that
(IMHO) there is such a thing as evidence based on facts that exist outside
the realm of personal interpretation or social construction.

What these mean may involve social construction. That these things are so
doesn't involve social construction. That was why I gave such simple and (I
thought) non-controversial examples.

Most cases are more difficult or challenging, and therefore open to debate.
