WELL THEN - WE'LL SEE ABOUT THAT HELEN - lol Here in Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust we do not have a written policy for such fitness. We assess each individual on an ad hoc basis. We considered a policy but felt it was not appropriate as each person is individual. Hence we see an awful lot of people each year! Hope this helps Neil ________________________________ From: [log in to unmask] [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Whitelam Helen Sent: 31 October 2008 11:36 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: [OCC-HEALTH] Fitness standards Clever boy, go to the top of the class...... you do realise we probably won't get an answer!!!!! Does anyone have any experience, assessments in relation to this; that they would be willing to share? Obviously this is a far wider issue, due to the more maturing workforce. Would anyone be willing to share the criteria for any fitness/competency standards set out by the Police, Fire Dept, HM Prisons in relation to physical fitness to undertake such substantive positions.
