For some time now we have been plagued by finely divided black particulate matter
contaminating our laser dye circulators.  The pumps are gear pumps manufactured by MicroPump.
It appears that the particulate matter is stainless steel eroded from the gear shafts.
Putting in a new pump kit, including gears and teflon bushings, and cleaning everything very well solves the problem for some time
(a few weeks to a few months) but it always reappears. Does anyone else have this vexing problem and, if so, have you found a better solution? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,
Dennis Clouthier
