Beautiful statue, Christopher, but a different St Modeste.  She was supposed to have been 
one of the early converts to Christianity at Chartres who was believed to have been martyred 
by being thrown down the well in the cathedral crypt.  She appears in Chartrain martyrologies 
on 16 June, I believe.
