Thanks for the tip. I already know of these two
great online resources as, fortunately, I'm a member of a subscribing
institution. But Film Studies For Free hasn't yet linked to them
as they are not completely 'Open Access'. I happily note that everyone can
'search and browse', but the full riches of these sites are only fully
accessible (i.e. you can only download or playback from the sites) with a
subscription.
I have replied to the full MECCSA list (with
sincere apologies for any irritation caused by my so doing) just so some of
the issues raised by my project can circulate a little more... let's
say, freely. For anyone wanting to know more about Open Access
issues, there's an excellent (open-access) article on these at ... you guessed
it Wikipedia!
