italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies Conference Announcement: Saturday, October 11, The Lyceum Club, Via Alfani, Florence The City and the Book V International Conference 'The Eighty Americans in Florence's Swiss-Owned so-called 'English' Cemetery Celebrating the 180th anniversary of the Swiss-owned 'English' Cemetery this conference will study the nineteenth-century Americans, sculptors, collectors, Abolitionists, writers, etc., who lived and were buried in Florence. It is open to the public. It will take place between 9:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m. Its proceedings will be in English and be published immediately on the Web.
