Use of Live data in testing

I have also been looking for guidance on this issue and can’t seem to find any.  Our ICT department is constantly being asked to copy live database information into test systems for training and testing purposes.  I am not comfortable with this but because I don’t have a sound basis to refuse the practice continues.

Any advice or support would be appreciated.
