The ULRLS comprise the
central libraries of the federal
ASSISTANT PROJECT ARCHIVIST
£29,600 - £35,914 p.a. inc. LW
Fixed-term: 12 months
We are seeking a
methodical individual with a genuine interest in and enthusiasm for the
practice of cataloguing to sort, arrange and catalogue the Archives of the
Catholic Institute for International Relations (CIIR). The material is
currently held in two Institute collections and the aim of the project is to make
this collection better available to academic users.
You will also assist in
publicity for the project, including work on the project website and blog, items
in newsletters and through professional networks, as well as working with the
Project Leader on the arrangements for a one-day conference.
You must possess a good
honours degree and relevant qualification in archives administration (or their demonstrable equivalents through
experience or ability) in addition to knowledge of ISAD(G) and
other archival standards, sound and developing IT skills and excellent
standards of both communication and interpersonal skills. Ideally, you will
also have experience of archival and cataloguing work at an appropriate level,
post-qualification experience or archives administration and have written for
web pages.
