Dear Malin,
you don't seem to have installed the latest set of updates:
ftp://ftp.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm/spm5_updates/
There was a bug in older versions of SPM5
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A2=ind0807&L=spm&P=3641
so that some header files (.hdr) were not written on disk, and this
could explain the problem you're facing.
