I too have had a very hairy experience. I visited someone at home who
we
had been informed was terminally ill, had been absent for work for more
than
6 months, was on half pay and was requesting retirement on health
grounds.
We were informed by her manager that she was so ill it would not be
possible
for her to attend the OHS.

In reality she was not terminally ill, she was about to go down to half
pay.
She had, however, been a patient in a secure psychiatric unit, only
recently discharged. The whole experience was very uncomfortable -
bordering
on being frightening, she was convinced that the OHS was colluding with
management to facilitate a dismissal and she was still exhibiting
paranoid
beliefs.

I would be very reluctant to undertake home visits as a result of that
experience. A full risk assessment is essential based on full
information!!!!
