Here's another suggestion to go with all the probably much better ones
you've had so far: have a look at glosses and other commentary on _yle_
(_hyle_) in Calcidius' translation of Plato's _Timaeus_. For a sense of
what you might find discussed there that pertains to the concept of
'void', see Catherine Léglu, "Place and Movement in the Old French
_Chanson de Toile_", _Parergon_ 24 (2007), 21-39.
