So I wouldn't count on him confirming. I'm writing the CPBF response to the Citizens, Communications and Convergence discussion paper (responses are due in by October 8, by the way), so would be happy to contribute some thoughts on Ofcom and citizenship to a panel (although clearly Sonia would be far better qualified than me to talk about this). As a result of suggestions from the POlicy network, the conference organisers have invited Andy Burnham, the sec of state, to give a Plenary address at the conference - however, this has yet to be confirmed, and it's possible he may not come. Might it be possible for one/some members of this Policy group to step in as 'understudy', should this be the case? Or would this not be feasible? It was also suggested that there be a policy panel at the meccsa conference - has anyone had any further thoughts on this? If so, a proposal will need to be submitted soon.
