To all MCG members Just a brief note to flag up that nominations close in two weeks for the 2008 Jodi Awards. Don't miss your chance to enter - deadline is close of the day on October 3. If your museum, gallery, library or archive has premiered a new website, in-gallery interactive or digital project in the last year, you could be eligible for a national award. It's a great chance to get UK-wide publicity for your project: the Jodi Awards are being presented on the evening of December 5, 2008, at the British Museum. Earlier on the same day at the BM there'll be a seminar - jointly organised by the Jodi Awards Trust with the Museums Association - exploring issues around accessibility and the cultural web sector. More details about the MA/Jodi Awards seminars will follow in due course. In association with the Rix Centre, the 2008 Awards will include a new award for the best use of technology making collections and learning opportunities accessible to people with a learning disability. More information about all these innovations and dates can be found on the Jodi Awards web pages - <http://www.jodiawards.org.uk/> www.jodiawards.org.uk. Here's <http://www.24hourmuseum.org.uk/downloads/2008_criteria.doc> more info about Award criteria, and here's a <http://www.24hourmuseum.org.uk/downloads/2008_nominations.doc> link to the nomination form.
