italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies The following panel for the SIS biennial conference to be held at Royal Holloway University of London from 16-19 April 2009 is still accepting proposals: "Dante in and nearby cinema" [subtitle to be defined] The panel aims to explore the relations between Dante's *Commedia *and European/Northern American filmography, theatre and television of XX-XXI centuries, contributing to the cultural endurance of the "sacrato poema".
