Brenda,

We're working on the principal (following the UKIC guidance) that we
don't need anyone's consent to put them on the register, but we do need
to consider informing them. For a child (under 12 since we're in
Scotland), we would normally inform the parent / guardian.

Regards

Donald Henderson

Subject: [data-protection] Children and violent person indicators

Can we add children or in fact anyone under 18 to our violent persons
register ? Do we need parental consent or do they need to be informed ?
Has anyone any advice or experience of this ?
