There is still an Italian consular facility in Bedford, used also as a polling station at times. I remember being offered the option, around 10 years ago, to vote for the italian elections to the European Parliament at a polling station kindly hosted in Enfield Council's offices, so avoiding the need for North London italians to traipse over to Eaton Square.

The number of languages spoken in spoken in London is more than 300 (Multilingual Capital, 2000)
