The Guernsey Data Protection Commissioner suggested to me that the UK
position can be found by looking at:

which I have tinied at http://tinyurl.com/yvg98p to avoid the linebreak
problem, and where the use of privacy policies and privacy statements is
covered in outline.
These requirements apparently stem from our beloved PECR which
implements 2002/58/EC.
