From reading pg 29 of the "updated technical background to the CLEA Model"
SC050021/SR3, the text says

"An important judgement for the risk assessor is whether the household is able 
to grow its own fruit and vegetables in the garden and what sized garden is 
required to grow the default amounts used by the CLEA model. Applying the 
consumption rates in Table 4.17 to a household of two adults and two 
children, the required garden area could be as little as 20 m2 (see Box 3.2 for 
a summary of this calculation and Section 3.2.6 for further information)."

I assume the writers mean  a plot of 20 square metres (i.e. 4x5m) rather than 
plot of 20 metres squared (20x20m).  Slightly pedantic i know.
