Derek Walcott will be in conversation with Professor Marina Warner and Dr Maria Cristina Fumagalli at the University of Essex (Ivor Crewe Lecture Hall) on the afternoon of Saturday 4 October. He will then give a reading from his work. The event will open at 4.30 with the presentation of an honorary doctorate to Derek Walcott by the University.
