Hi all,
Sorry to be out of circulation for awhile. - I have been working on a
Cultural Leadership Placement as the Digital Resources Associate on the
Picture Dis online project at the National Library of Jamaica and I have
just returned.
Picture Dis is a digital image collection of the people, places and
products of Jamaica, organised by parishes. The collection has been
established in keeping with the aims and objectives of the National
Library of Jamaica, “…to collect, preserve, document and facilitate
access to the nation’s cultural heritage…” Picture Dis will also provide
a forum for information, education and debate.
Please take a look at
http://www.nlj.org.jm/pd/picturedis.htm and give feedback to the
National Library of Jamaica or to me, if you wish. The website can
also be accessed by searching Flickr.com where you can also leave your
comments. Any further questions about the project may be sent
direct to me.
Many thanks,
Maxine
