A08/126 UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO Te Whare Wananga o Otago Dunedin, New Zealand Postdoctoral Fellow in Statistics (Fixed-term) DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for an 18-month fixed-term Postdoctoral Fellow in Statistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Applicants with interests in any statistics topic may apply but those with experience in hierarchical modelling, Bayesian inference or ecological statistics will be especially welcome. The specific project involves the development of hierarchical models and Bayesian inference methods for latent variable problems in ecology. The starting date for the position is negotiable but preferably as soon after 1 February 2009 as possible.
