Hi Everyone, Looks like some of you may not have received the files attached with my last email. Here they are again. You can also download the registration form from the FINEX website www.londonfinex.com Cheers, Iain. -----Original Message----- From: The Mineral Deposits Studies Group listserver [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Iain McDonald Sent: 08 September 2008 11:47 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: FINEX 2008 Final Circular Dear All, For those of you wishing to attend the FINEX 2008 meeting at Burlington House on the 23rd and 24th of September, the final programme and circular is attached. This will be a really exciting event that will showcase the key role that the UK and Ireland play in global mineral exploration and will offer a useful insight into the world of minerals finance for us academics (and vice versa for finance people). Those planning to come along should complete the attached registration form and return it to Georgina Worrall at the Geological Society as soon as possible. Given the importance of the final session on Day 2 (the Skills Gap) to students and potential employers it was decided at the last committee meeting to offer a special rate for students who wish to attend this session, but not the rest of the conference. Students can register for the Skills Gap session and the cocktail party that follows it for the reduced fee of £10. I would be grateful to those list members who teach final year undergraduates and postgraduate students if they could circulate this to their students ahead of the event. This is a great opportunity for students to meet mining and exploraiton professionals, including those who recruit for the industry, and gain a real insight into what they are looking for in potential applicants. Students who wish to attend this session should complete the registration form as normal and send payment with a short covering note stating that they are a full-time student at University X and that they just wish to register for the Skills Gap session. Registration and covering notes should be sent to Georgina Worrall at the Geological Society. I hope you find this useful and I look forward to seeing you at FINEX later in the month.
