Current major projects include the National Digital Archive of Datasets (NDAD), which ULCC operates on behalf of The National Archives; the Digital Preservation Training Programme (DPTP); Digital Asset Assessment Training and the UK Web Archiving Consortium.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Archive Assistant to join our collaborative team of archivists, data specialists and computer systems staff in order to provide administrative support for our core services and project-based activities. The role will be ideal for someone considering a career within the new and emerging field of digital archiving, with excellent opportunities for training and ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
Key duties will include:
*	Providing administrative and clerical support for the Manager of Digital Archive Services, and its staff, on a wide range of digital archiving projects and services;

*	Dealing with user enquiries and meeting orders for copies of NDAD data and documentation.
You will also be involved in the maintenance of procedures, particularly in relation to ISO9000 quality assessment, carry out Display Screen Equipment workstation assessments and have the opportunity to be involved with other aspects of the development of our services and projects in conjunction with other members of the team.
We are looking for a team-player with a flexible approach, the ability to multi-task effectively and possessing sound clerical skills, supported by good IT skills. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality both in relation to the handling of sensitive or restricted archival data and in providing administrative support to the Manager. Previous experience of electronic records is not essential as training will be provided.
