Dear all, Wendy Stokes is inviting papers for a panel on "Gender and Political Theory" to present at next year's PSA conference (details of the conference below). Anyone interested in being part of this panel, please get in touch with Wendy: [log in to unmask] If anyone else would like to propose a panel and needs extra paper-givers, please let me (Rainbow) know and I will be happy to promote it for you, but please allow enough time for people to get in touch with you. My email is [log in to unmask] Best wishes, Rainbow --- Dear all, The 2009 PSA annual conference will take place in Manchester, 7-9 April 2009. More information is available here: http://www.psa.ac.uk/2009/. As usual, the PSA Women and Politics group will be convening a number of panels. The deadline for panel proposals is 28 September but, to allow me time to process them, I ask that you get paper and panel proposals to me NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY 24 SEPTEMBER. If anyone wishes to propose a panel but does not have a full set of paper givers, I am happy to advertise the panel on your behalf to invite additional papers. Likewise, if people wish to submit individual papers, please do so as soon as possible and I will convene them into panels. Please note that anyone wishing to propose a paper and/or panel must fill in the appropriate form, available from the PSA website (link above). It is an aim of Marc and myself, as new convenors of the group, to extend the group's work beyond our own membership. Hence I would particularly welcome suggestions for panels co-sponsored with other PSA specialist groups. Last but not least, we have the option of applying again for funding to bring over an overseas guest speaker. Our group applied successfully for this funding last year, resulting in a very stimulating guest lecture from Virginia Sapiro at the 2008 conference in Swansea. I think we should try again this year, and would welcome suggestions for people to invite. Best wishes to all
