Research Associate in Health and Social Care Modelling

Salary £25,440 - £26,800 P.A. (Inc. LWA)
Fixed Term Contract: 12 Months
 
The Health and Social Care Modelling Group (HSCMG), based in the School of Informatics, is looking for a research fellow to provide support to research, consultancy and knowledge transfer activities undertaken by the Health and Social Care Modelling Group (HSCMG) and occasionally to support other postgraduate teaching related activities of the department.
 
The post holder will be an active researcher with interest and experience in areas of statistics, operational research, and/or data mining that are relevant to health care and of interest to HSCMG. The successful applicant will also be involved in the development of short courses and teaching in the area of data analysis and operational research applied to Healthcare. The post holder will be expected to have some good publication record and strong potential. Some experience in interacting with health care professionals is also desirable.
 
A good honours degree and a higher degree in a relevant quantitative area of Mathematical and Computer Sciences are required. Candidates are expected to have been awarded or at least submitted their dissertation for a PhD in an area of Statistics, Operational Research, or Data Mining applied to Health / Healthcare.
