Jil Our guidelines on how to cite our "Accepted Preprints" (i.e. author's accepted mss prior to copy editing, formatting and proofing, posted online immediately upon acceptance for publication) are at the link below, and may be helpful. http://joe.endocrinology-journals.org/misc/citingap.dtl It's true that the year of publication may change if the article is accepted right near the end of the year, but using the DOI will ensure that it still resolves to the correct place. This same approach should work for any article that has a DOI, regardless of publisher or online hosting arrangements.
