Hi Maggie - You can download a copy of our Guide for Personal tutors -
which includes guidelines on referrals to Student Services (not academic
study advisors as we didn't have such a service last year, but most of
the principles are the same) - at

Subject: referral guidelines

Hi

I'm just writing a web page for personal tutors for our new website. I
wanted to add some information about how personal tutors might refer a
student to us if they have a concern. Does anyone have any printed or
online guidelines for academic staff on appropriate ways to refer? I
would imagine that we would want to point out that the student visit
should be voluntary and would be confidential.

I would be grateful to see wording and/or ideas.

Thanks
