£18,907 to £20,736 per annum

37 hours per week (consideration will be given for flexible working)

 

COUNTY ARCHAEOLOGY CENTRE, Carisbrooke, near Newport, Isle of Wight

 

Supporting the work of the Isle of Wight County Archaeology and Historic Environment Service, you will assist with the management of the Historic Environment Record (HER) Database and the Island’s Historic Environment Resource, including archaeological fieldwork, where necessary.

 

A degree in Archaeology or a related subject is essential, along with a range of relevant experience in the management of the Historic Environment Resource. Basic experience of using HER/SMR databases is also desirable.

 

You will have broad and detailed knowledge of archaeology, including excavation, post-excavation work, archaeological methods and practice in Britain. Knowledge of the Archaeology, landscape and topography of the Isle of Wight would be an advantage.
