Network Rail are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated GI Technical Specialist to play a key role in providing a range of professional services including: · Translating business requirements into GI solution designs · Technical assurance that proposed GI solution designs integrate with existing and proposed technology platforms and data architectures · Technical support · Managing third party resources to develop GI Solutions. In this role you will act as a GI technical expert within the Geospatial Information Group within IM, supporting the delivery of services provided by the Group to meet Business objectives. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to elicit and define the IM requirements relating to Geospatial Information (GI) to solve a business problem and to perform GI- related business analysis. You will possess a GIS degree or relevant technical qualification and will have experience of GI solution design, development or maintenance at a project/department lead consultant level using ESRI technologies. You will be an excellent communicator; comfortable liaising and presenting up to senior management level, as well as an innovative and logical thinker who will have a proven background in applying your knowledge of geospatial information within a business environment. You will be experienced in working within a customer driven environment and often to tight and challenging deadlines.
