About the Program

This teleseminar will provide an overview of the proposed legislation being considered in Congress that would amend the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and also provide a review of the Department of Justice's proposed regulatory changes. Specifically, the program will cover:

*	A review of the proposed regulatory changes with an emphasis on how they will impact resident life, athletics and student affairs (ticketing and seating in assembly areas, service animals, physical access, and more). 
*	A brief overview o.f key changes proposed for the Standards for Accessible Design. 
*	An update on the proposed ADA Amendments Act and analysis of the bill's key provisions. 
*	An exploration of how changes in the definition of who has a disability will impact colleges and universities, from academic accommodations to student conduct.
