Dear Claus, dear Julie,

Well - only if the template you normalised to was in MNI space in the first place. Most people would consider the T1/T2/PD MNI/ICBM152 images as "MNI space". Most "secondary" templates are more or less in MNI/ICBM152 template (the /templates/PET image being a good example of how e.g. the temporal lobes can be quite far off).

John Ashburner has written very good explanations into the SPM help - try the green HELP button on startup and then the TEMPLATES button.

I would advocate to always check inhowfar your template corresponds to MNI with the CHECK REG button. It's also a good idea to develop some more detailed knowledge of where the materials you use come from, i.e. who made your templates, and how (for SPM, this info is available in the help as outlined above).

Hope this helps,

Alexander

Yes, they are in MNI space.

Hello,

After Normalization of fMRI images, are the images in MNI space? If not, how can I get them into MNI space?

Thank-you,

Julie
