We need to be clear: the Poetryetc list, qua list, exerted no editorial control over the anthology. Neither Anny nor I submitted poetry to the anthology nor consulted with any of the participants, editors, publisher, or etc., for obvious reasons. It was an independent project taken on by list members & could presumably be published without reference to Poetryetc. In light of this, I continue to find Roger's action (and your argument) incomprehensible. jd On Tue, Jul 15, 2008 at 5:45 PM, Robin Hamilton < [log in to unmask]> wrote: > Joe: > > << > I find Roger Collett's reaction simply incomprehensible > >> >>> > I'm speaking entirely for myself here, so this shouldn't be taken as > reflecting anything Roger thinks, but .. > > Arrowhead's reputation is on the line here. > > That's the bottom line. > > Frankly, I wouldn't give a blank cheque to a poetryetc anthology -- or *any > anthology -- that I had no editorial contol over. > > You might disagree with Roger's decision, but it's anything *but > incomprehensible. > > Not exactly rocket science, nah? > > Robin > -- Joseph Duemer Professor of Humanities Clarkson University Weblog: sharpsand.net
