Dear colleague The UK Statistics Authority has recently published its proposals for a new statutory Code of Practice for Official Statistics as set out in the Statistics and Registration Service Act 2007, alongside a draft statement of the principles and procedures that will underpin the Authority's work in the assessment of official statistics. Both are contained in a consultation document available online on the Authority's website at: http://www.statisticsauthority.gov.uk/reports---correspondence/consultations/open-consultations/index.html The consultation phase closes on 30 September 2008.
