Strategic professor of MIDWIFERY/physiological obstetrics

 

Maastricht University (UM) and the University of Midwifery Education & Studies Maastricht (AVMU) has established a strategic midwifery chair. The research will be carried out within the School for Public Health and Primary Care and the Department of Midwifery Science at AVMU.

It aims to make an essential contribution to the quality and continued provision of Dutch midwifery care based on social responsibility. AVMU offers a high-quality HBO midwifery bachelor’s programme and professional training and sees its core task as further scientifically underpinning the field through applied and fundamental research. Applied research focuses on patient-related clinical research, while fundamental research is oriented to the normal reproductive process. AVMU currently has 220 students and 60 staff. As of 1 September 2008, it will become an autonomous unit within Zuyd University.

Maximum monthly salary: € 6995

Contract type: fixed-term

Contract duration: 60 months

Maximum number of weekly working hours: 12 till 20
